Marc Treihaft, MDAt the turn of the new millennia, we reflect on the scientific accomplishments of the past century. The pace of discovery in medicine seems to quicken at an overwhelming rate. Looking forward, we anticipate major advances in neurology driven by newer techniques in physiology, immunology, radiology, genetics, and therapeutics. This issue of the CNI REVIEW is devoted to neuromuscular disorders, diseases affecting peripheral nerves, muscles, and the neuromuscular junction.

I would like to express my appreciation to the authors for contributing to this issue and sharing their expertise. I trust their articles will raise awareness and the understanding of theses serious conditions. As medical director of the Neuromuscular Program, I would also like to thank the CNI administration and Swedish Medical Center for their continued support.
