At the turn of the new millennia, we reflect on the scientific
accomplishments of the past century. The pace of discovery in medicine seems to
quicken at an overwhelming rate. Looking forward, we anticipate major advances
in neurology driven by newer techniques in physiology, immunology, radiology,
genetics, and therapeutics. This issue of the CNI REVIEW is devoted to
neuromuscular disorders, diseases affecting peripheral nerves, muscles, and the
neuromuscular junction. 
The Colorado Neurological Institute exists to serve patients
with neurological diseases. We are structured to do that through our Programs
and Services. This issue of the CNI REVIEW comes from our Neuromuscular Program.
CNI Programs provide not only patient care, but also do research and provide
education. Neurology keeps changing. Many new treatments are available to
patients with neuromuscular disorders.
