Center for Voice and Swallow DisordersStaffed by Board Certified Neurolaryngologist Andrœ L. Reed, MD, and Certified Voice Therapist Shana Turner, MS, CCC-SLP, the Center specializes in voice therapy and voice restoration, and is dedicated to the treatment of voice and swallow disorders, including general ear, nose and throat disorders, laryngitis, hoarseness, neurological disorders affecting the voice, spasmodic dysphonia, the professional voice, vocal fold motion impairment, nodules, cysts, the aging voice, reflux and swallowing difficulty. The facility provides comprehensive evaluation and utilizes a full voice lab comprised of a Kay Elemetrics Videostroboscopic system and voice analysis equipment to aid in thorough diagnosis and treatment of our patients' vocal problems and concerns. The Center has begun research geared at analysis laryngopharyngeal reflux disease and its effect on vocal dysfunction. This is but one of the many areas of potential investigation in the arena of the vocal arts.
