If you have had a stroke caused by a clot, you are prone to clot
formation in your arteries.

When platelets stick together and form clots in the arteries they
can affect the flow of oxygen-rich blood to your brain or your heart.

This means that you are at increased risk of having not only a future
stroke but also a heart attack. Speak to your physician about new
drugs available to help keep platelets from sticking together and
forming clots.
