Founded in 2004, The Thompson Center for Restorative Neurosurgery at CNI provides a comprehensive program of assessment and surgical treatment for patients with disabling movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. In this program, patients undergo an extensive baseline assessment including cognitive and psychological testing, followed by a surgical and rehabilitation program, individually tailored to the requirements of the patient.
Our program offers inpatient and outpatient case management to expedite enrollment, scheduling, follow-up, and facilitate communication with patient, family members, and referring neurologist. Careful evaluation by neuropsychology, neurosurgery, neurology, rehabilitative medicine, and other specialties also occurs prior to surgery.
